Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays No.4

It's a beautiful day here on the gulf coast...I'm so happy that SPRING has finally arrived and the grass is turning GREEN! It's always so nice for the spring season to arrive because that means EASTER is coming too...click here to see my "OLD RUGGED CROSS"...I'm lovin' it so much, that I think I will leave it on the door through the spring season...maybe even longer. I consider it a thrifty wreath since I only spent $11.00 on it and I can re-use both the cross and the frame for other projects. I have done a little display in my family room with some moss bunnies that I picked up at a church thrift store in Birmingham...I saw them as soon as I came into the store and I knew they would be coming home with me...the best part was that they were only $1.00 each...WOW...what a deal! I had some cute eggs that I had bought at Hobby Lobby (I think I paid $3.00 for the bag of them)...pulled out some green grass from the Dollar Tree and I was done...EASTER display complete and total cost was only $6.00!

This is not a normal thrifty find that I usually share with all of you, but I thought you gals might like it...so here it goes...Mr.CC was in our Neighborhood Wal-Mart Friday afternoon and discovered a discount table filled with some great bargains...the ladies that were loading the table with all the merchandise told him that they do this every Friday afternoon around 5:00...this week the HOT item was laundry detergent! Yes...we have enough of laundry detergent to last us for months...even maybe a year! I'm not sure if the BIG super Wal-Mart's do this...it might be only in the Neighborhood Wal-Mart stores. I hope I can remember to stop by every Friday afternoon to see what bargains they have...this will give me a good reason to stop by the Tuesday Morning next door:) This week I will be posting the NTT HIGHLIGHTS on SUNDAY (I feel that this will be the best day to do this)...so please come by then and see who caught my eye this week!

****Please everyone, follow these guidelines!****

1. Be sure to refer back to my blog so everyone can see who is participating today, and if you like include the NTT button in your post (copy and paste the html code under the button...the button is located on my sidebar).

I feel like I won the lottery (which thrifty girls would never play) to be 1st to comment and link!!!

Coastal Charm friends were so friendly and enthusiastic that it spurred me on to more inspiration with those Blue Mason Jars...

Found a few other thrifts that I haven't incorporated in to the new office yet...maybe for next week.

Thanks again for having us Linda!! L-o-ve your bunny and when can I drop my laundry off???

Gotta love those bunnies on a stick! Ever since they made their appearance in Blogland last year, I knew I just had to have them. I purchased a few then went back to Pier One after Easter to pick up some more. I plopped them in some floral arrangements this year. Your eggs are so cute- love the colors and design. I like how you shortened the bunny stick and planted them in the little pots. Clever...
Thanks for hosting the par-tay! It's my first time here for it.
:-) Sue

Oh the comment form finally loaded. I can leave a comment for you. :) What a steal on the detergent. And I love the bunnies. I have one bunny on a stick that I got last year on clearance. I still have to figure out what to do with him.

I'm like you, I now have enough detergent to last for at least 6 months. With the BOGO sale at Publix and all my coupons I got it for next to nothing.

Thanks for the visit. I found your PAR-TAY from Rhoda's party :)

Oh, thank you for stopping by my home!! Otherwise I wouldn't have met you and seen your charming :) and interesting blog! What a deal you got on the detergent!
I shop at a place called Amazing Savings here in SC. It is surplus foods/goods from Whole Foods and other organic and natural food vendors. I need to post about that... eating well should not have to cost us an arm and a leg and our firstborn. :)
I think I'll go make a post and link back here...
Nice to meet you!
Blessings!
(Oh, and I also have that bunny from Pier 1 and some eggs from a yard sale- I think I like you!)

Very nice bunny vignette! It says Spring has arrived.

You scored on that detergent! Gotta love a bargain like that. I've been using Walmart dish detergent and love it. Guess I'll have to try their laundry detergent too.

Thanks for dropping by my blog and inviting me over. Come back often!

Hi Linda, I have been enjoying your blog and the Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays! I have finally learned (or so I thought!) how to post something on your blog but, I made a mistake in my own url! I did correct it but #86 on your list is not correct, #87 is. Sorry :( I added your NTT tag on my site too. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration! I hope to have my blog as enjoyed as yours!!
