Bloomin' Time

Yes...it's bloomin' time here at COASTAL CHARM! Last Spring I planted several agapanthus plants in our new and improved flowerbeds in the front yard...and I love how they look. I was so ready for a complete makeover for these flowerbeds and I knew that I wanted lots of agapanthus plants...love the statement that they make and my neighbors agree...several of them decided to add a few to their own beds! Since the plants are out in the front yard, I don't get to view them as much as I would like...sooooo...my solution was to plant some near my screen porch...now your talkin'! I spend lots of time here in my screen porch (it's my favorite room)...a post about this room is coming soon! After a very COLD winter here on the coast, some of our tropical plants seemed to be dead, but thank goodness...they are still alive and growing!

I've seen those plants before, but never knew what they were called. They are so impressive and I can understand why you'd want to plant more and have them within easy viewing range. Love the color!

love agapanthus, they remind me of Africa where I grew up, the streets would be lined with them. Don't see them up north where I live, too cold I guess! Thanks for the photos!

Hi Linda,
I love how your garden looks, it's so lovely and fresh. Makes me want to go out and dig mine up and start all over again. Seems like everything I put out there looks good for a few weeks and then looks awful! No green thumb for me.

Can't wait to see your porch!

Hi Linda, Thanks for visiting my blog! When you are in Santa Monica, there is a flea market/farmers market I believe every Sunday. There are a lot of shops there. What I did was got a phone book when I got there. I believe Rachelle Ashwell has a shop there too. I wish I would have had more time to check out her store! Have a great time! Marcia
