Cottage Charm Antiques

I was the owner of Cottage Charm Antiques for six years here along the beautiful Alabama gulf coast. Cottage Charm was located in several shops, with locations in Fairhope, Foley and Mobile. I truly loved my business and met a lot of wonderful people along the way. Cottage Charm had a "Shabby Chic" feel to it with all the "chippy paint" and distressed furniture, vintage linens, hats, handbags and clothing. To some people I was referred to as "The Linen Lady". My husband was a great help to me with my business, he was always there to load my merchandise when at market and local estate sales(husbands do come in handy). Maybe one day I will get a wild hair and open my own shop. Here are some pics from the past...hope you enjoy window shopping!

It's almost here...the BIG DAY is tomorrow...my first NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAY PARTY...I'm soooo ready to have a FUN time sharing my THRIFTY finds and most of all... I can't wait to see all the TREASURES that you have to share!

Linda,
Your business must have been a labor of love. It looks adorable and you have a flair for style. Years ago, I owned a country store and filled it with similar merchandise. The love for the business stays close at heart...

Oh, Linda, what wonderful things you had and you displayed them so nicely! Your pictures remind me of when my in-laws did antique shows and I helped with set-up.
I'm planning on "seeing" you tomorrow!

I live in Pensacola and use to take trips to Fairhope and Foley to shop the Antique Stores. I think I have been to your shop and it was lovely. There aren't as many shops like yours anymore. Wish you were still open.

What a neat shop! I hope you get to have another one someday, Linda - my kinda shopping! I absolutely adore old linens. My hubby tells me to quit buying them, but they have such a tale to tell, and I guess that's what intrigues me about them. The baby clothes, the vintage dresses, the tablecloths, runners and the pillowcases that have been to carefully crocheted and stitched with such love! I can't get enough!

Hi Linda!
So nice to meet you! It's always so much fun finding a fellow linen lover. I'm disappointed to read that you don't have your shop anymore. I was interested in one of your linens. Wow, did you have a gorgeous shop!! I read in one of the comments above that it must have been a labor of love. Oh yes, I can tell that it was. Your shop was gorgeous and I can promise you that if I had lived in your area, I would have been there a lot! Thank you for visiting my blog. I'll be seeing you soon as I'm now a new follower.
