Coastal Style Cabinet and They Like My Header

A little happy arrived in today's mail, and don't we always love getting happies? About two months ago, Artful Blogging e-mailed me, asking if they could feature my blog header in their magazine. I said, you bet you can! So, today a complimentary copy arrived for me to share with my family and friends before it hits newsstands! On another note, I have been super busy getting ready for the new shop to open. When you are in the re-purposing/vintage business, you are always painting, sewing, junkin' and tagging, just busy...busy...busy!!!! Today, I have a sweet little corner cabinet to share with y'all. I was very pleased with how it turned out...it's a perfect "Coastal Style" cabinet, don't you think? Thanks for coming by, and I hope you have a wonderful summer weekend. I am heading to my beach condo tomorrow...gotta take a short break from all this work.

Cutie Pie

Meet my new granddog Wyatt...isn't he a cutie pie? Well, we must think so, since we took 141 pics of him on day one (no joke folks...141 pics). What a fun 4th of July we had with the newest member of our family. After a two hour drive, Wyatt arrived at our cookout and he was for sure, the guest of honor, and I think he loved it too. I can already tell that this silver lab is going to be so spoiled, and that's okay with me (I can send him home). Thanks for coming by, and if you are traveling on this holiday weekend, please be safe out there.

Here's The Answer

Well, I have kept all of you in the dark for too long now, so here is the answer to my mystery picture. The shop where I am located is MOVING! Yes...right dab in the middle of this summer heat, we are packing up and moving to a new location. The owners had a chance to purchase a building that is more than double in size and they hopped on it. Last week, we went by and picked our new spaces. I wanted to increase my square footage, and when I got there the perfect spot was waiting on me. The spot is the front room on the far left side of the building. Oh yes...I have a room all by myself and I am thrilled! Mr.CC and I painted it last week and now we are working on putting up some details that scream CHARM!!! I really want to make it a super neat area for all my vintage goodies. I know that a lot of you thought that I was opening up my own shop. Now, that would be fun, but I am just too old to start a new business. Also, I really love being a part of this wonderful place, so I am staying put. The grand opening will be August 3...so if you are local...please come by and check us out.

Nifty Thrifty Tuesday No.170

Hello y'all and HAPPY JULY!!! Oh my, it's so hard to believe that half of 2013 is already gone. The summer heat has arrived here in full swing...it's sooooo darn HOT! Did anybody notice that I only posted the party last week? I have been super busy and it all has to do with the first pic. Does anybody want to guess what it's all about? I hope to have some time later this week, to share with all of you, what this old gal is up to, so please stay in touch.
