Things Are Getting Brighter Around Here

Things are getting brighter y'all!!!
Why in the world do we all put things off and years later, we finally get around to doing them? That's just what we did, when it came to getting some can lighting installed in our family room. A few weeks ago, I shared with y'all our upcoming home improvement projects, and having these new lights installed, was the kick start to all those projects. We are both die hard DIY folks, but when it comes to electrical projects like this one, we called in the professionals. So, let's take a look around in our much brighter nest.
Blessings,
Linda

                                                             Holes were cut.

                                                      Supplies were unpacked.

                                               Then the installation got started.

Can't wait to get that popcorn ceiling removed.

                                                   Everything in the room is
                                                      looking so much better.

Even this "new to me", primitive bench is
                                                       standing out!!!

The fine folks at RUGPAD CORNER,
recently sent me two of their "ultra premium"
                                                         rug pads to try out.

After 3 months of using our rug pads, I am happy to
report that our rugs don't slip one bit, and the pads
                                                      don't stick to the floor!!!

Ultra Premium is made in a 45 ounce density to prevent any penetration to the floor. This means that you can walk and run on it, sit on it and place the heaviest of furniture on it – Ultra Premium prevents anything from pushing through. This protects your rug from premature wear, helps the fibers spring back after being crushed and prevents wear to the back of the rug. For the floor, Ultra Premium will not allow even your heaviest furniture to push through and dent the floor – add to this the fact that it’s a layer of all natural rubber on the floor, no additives like others, and this non slip rug pad truly performs without damaging the floor. It is safe for hardwood, laminate, tile, heated and ALL hard floors.  (source) You can check these pads here.

If you are in the market for some rug pads,
please be sure to check RUGPAD CORNER.

Disclosure:  This post is sponsored by Rug Pad Corner.  Rug Pad Corner sent me two rug pads to review in exchange for a blog post.  I was only compensated with the free rug pads.  As always, all opinions are my own.

I love your lights, Linda, but the rest of the room really blew me away! I love your style---the furniture and natural rug, I think we share very much the same taste.

So glad you got this finished. I'm always a step away!

We have a similar ceiling in our home, only it comes to one point with a beam down the center. I love the can lights! That's something I will put on my wish list. We just have a ceiling fan hanging in the center and a couple of floor lights, but the added lights in the ceiling would be so much nicer. What a beautiful room!

Your room is beautiful, and I've got to get me some of those rug pads! I'm tired of mine slipping and sliding every-which-way!

The lights look great and I know make a difference, we had them added to our kitchen and took down the florescent "coffins". Popcorn ceiling or cottage cheese, whichever you call it. You can DIY if you have time and really good ladders. I did a small section that was low to try it out. Really good you tube videos.

Isn't it amazing--the difference a little more light can make? It does look bright and perky! Glad to see you're finally getting to do some of the things on your list...

How exciting to finally be getting a project completed that's been on your list for years. Can lights have been on my wish list for our kitchen for years. Love all your beautiful vintage touches Linda. Thanks for sharing at Vintage Inspiration Party.

One can never have more than enough lighting! Can lights are fantastic, especially nowadays since they have nicer material. My husband put our kitchen cans on a dimmer switch which makes it nice for after dinner when we need just a little lighting but not full. Your home looks fantastic! I wish I would have waited to purchase rug pads. I just bought some about two weeks ago. Drat!

I know how good it feels to get a project completed! And the lights look great. I have rugs now that slip when you walk, so I'll definitely be checking out RugPad Corner. Have a happy and safe holiday this weekend!
