Shop Your Nest

If they fade with all that sunshine...don't throw them away...get out a paint brush and bring new life back to them. Now what in world am I talking about? When it was time to pull out the pumpkins that I have been putting in some concrete planters for the past two years, I noticed that they were sooooo faded and there was no way I could have these out looking like this. Now that's when I got out some old white ASCP and that problem went bye bye!!!  This was way cheaper than heading out to a local craft store to buy new ones...work with what ya got ladies...it's all about shopping your nest!!! Great idea, Linda! I think I'll probably get one more year out of mine and I'll paint them fresh next Fall.

I live in a world of tall pine trees and most all the little bird nest I find are made of them so I loved how you made the pumpkin nest with them. Thank you for the like of my wedding table scapes. I had every intention of marrying inexpensive clear glass candle sticks with the mason jars for a pedestal effect but time just ran out on me. Thank you for coming by. xoxo

PERFECT....oh the pumpkins look great in their urns, but the AU "wreath" on the door and the flag waving are super! I'm heading to the store for letters. This will be a wonderful house-warming present for my son and his wife. Thanks!!!

What a great idea about painting the pumpkins. I have a big faded light up cat on a pumpkin but I don't know that it would look as good :) Love your team spirit too!

I am so happy that you posted this. I can't find real white pumpkins anywhere in my area because of the wet summer here! I am getting out my spray paint. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love your white pumpkins! Coincidentally today, I was looking at my old pumpkins and wondered how they would look if I painted them white...now I'm inspired!

Hi Linda, Those faux pumpkins are too expensive to just throw away so painting them is a great idea. Love the concrete planters and your Aurburn sign. Thanks for joining the Open House Party this week.
