Blue Ridge Parkway...Part 1

Let's take a little ride today along the BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY...grab a cup of coffee and let's see what FALL looks like in this part of the country. We will begin our trip in Asheville and head north on the parkway...as we go along you will be able to see the difference in the colors...the higher we get the colors are not as pretty...past their peak. This was a perfect FALL day...sunny with the temps in the 60's. Well since we are not Harley folks and we don't have a convertible...the next best thing was to open up our sunroof and roll down our windows and hey...we now fit in with the rest of the crowd!!! Gotta make do with what ya got...right? Hope you enjoy the trip and thanks for coming along for the ride!!
                                       Blessings,
                                          Linda

The kid in me comes out
                                   every now and then!!

Breathtaking pictures, Linda!! We don't see mountains like these here in the Midwest!! We were in Asheville in the spring. Now would be the time to visit!!

Your pictures are gorgeous! The fall colors are amazing. I've never been there but sure hope to some year. Our fall colors were dull, no rain so a lot of trees were on the brown side. Thanks for sharing your pics, I really enjoyed seeing what that part of the country looks like!

So pretty, and I love seeing the kid in you when it comes out! My mom grew up in the Blue Ridge, and I need to take a trip over that way and drive along the Parkway, it's so beautiful there!

Oh I so miss the Blue Ridge!!! We used to live in SC and would drive up there literally every other weekend. Our favorite spots to hit up were Hendersonville, Waynesville and Bravard - just so gorgeous and fun. I'm so jealous!!!

Your fall color is beautiful. It is my favorite time of the year. Depending on what area you are here determines the color. Some are so pretty but others aren't. Thank you for sharing and I defintely will be back to see some more. Your Missouri Friend.

GORGEOUS pictures. I actually live about an hour west of Asheville. Actually, you had to come pretty near my house to get on the parkway.
I feel incredibly blessed to live in this area all of the time -- but fall is my most favorite time of year for sure! God is GREAT, isn't he?!?

Oh I LOVE driving on the parkway! It is the most beautiful place EVER! We went last summer camping, I would love to visit during the fall. I think I'll wait until my husband returns from deployment and share it with him. :)
