Changing It Up and A Giveaway

After the holidays were over, it was then time for some changes...so here I go pulling out some old things and adding a couple of new ones. Winter is my least favorite time of the year and the toughest one for me to decorate my nest...is this true for you too? With this being said, I get to work trying to make the best of it and at the same time...counting the days down until SPRING arrives here on the coast. Come along with me as I share a little bit of what I have done so far. Now be sure to come back on Monday and enter my GIVEAWAY and at the same time...link up to my weekly NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAYS PARTY!
Thanks so much for coming and please leave me
a little note, so I know that you have been here,
                                                                             Linda

Winter is tough for decorating! I don't like the red of Valentine's Day stuff, either.

I do love that birdhouse. :)

Everything looks great. I love your little bird.

I've been whining about winter for weeks on my blog. I have a bad case of cabin fever.

Have a great week and I'll see you tomorrow. La

Hi Linda! Thanks for the visit, and the invite to the tuesday party... i'll be there! I love the new bits you're showing, esp the weathered little bird, and the pine cones with sea shells... I have both but never thought to mix them together... love it!

Linda~
I feel the same way about winter. I can't get motivated to do anything, but at the same time know if I did make a little change around here, winter wouldn't be so tough. Sort of glad to know others feel the same!

Thanks for the inspiration!
Sheila

I love that you are using nature to decorate for winter. Your vignettes look great!

Hi Linda!

The little church house and bird are darling! I get the winter blahs in Jan/Feb. It's hard to know how to decorate. I'm definitely craving color. Changed up the mantel today. Maybe, too early for Spring but one can dream.

Looked back at your beach house post and the room looks great! The green is really fresh and pretty! Nice change!

Hope you've had a great weekend!

I don't care for winter, either, although I've dealt with this one pretty well so far. I love the little white church and the shells with the pine cones!

I think what you did was lovely. I enjoy the jar with shells the most and I'm going to have to copy that. Thanks.

I love all your pretties...the birds and all of your seashells! I am growing tired of winter and it frustrates me because I normally don't feel this way until about March! Hang in there, Linda!

Jane

Love the shells with the pinecones. A mixture of winter and the ocean - seems like a nice combination.

Very pretty! I especially like the mixing of pine cones and shells!

I don't care for Winter myself! Love decorating for Spring, Fall, and Christmas, but Winter is always a bit blah. I have invested in some cute "snowflake" theme things that I pull out at Christmas and leave up until February.

Hi Linda! Oh, I so agree that winter is hard for decorating! Once Christmas is over I have that "now what?" feeling and in the past I don't think I have attempted doing much but being here in blogland has definitely been inspiring! Your vignettes are among those that get me motivated to try new things and mix it up a bit. Thanks for that! :-)

Love the decorating ideas here. I hand carve dough bowls and trencher bowls from local Missouri hardwoods and am always on the look out for bowl filling ideas for good and interesting photos. I hope you get a chance to check out some of my work, I'm sure with your decorating hand any of my bowls would look awesome.
