Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays No.33

This week at NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAYS I will be sharing with you what I did over the weekend...I had a GARAGE SALE! I sooooo needed to get some unwanted items out of this house and I did just that. My mom told me about the neighborhood sale that they were having in her neighborhood and since Mr.CC and I were not going out of town to watch our AUBURN TIGERS play football, then we loaded this stuff up and headed over to her house. I was very happy to get this stuff gone from my home and I'll be honest...the best part was spending two days with my sweet MOM! We had so much fun talking and laughing...I cherish every minute that I spend with her, because I do realize how lucky I am to still have her in my life...she is 82 and still in good health...that is such a blessing to me. It always seems like every time that we have a garage sale together, the two of us shop each others stuff and come home with a least one item. This time I came home with three items...look and see what I found!
As you know...I love anything this cute little beaded candle holder came home with me!

I will be adding these two milk glass vases to my collection...they will always be SPECIAL because they have my mothers name on the bottom of them...thank you MOM!
Here we are posing for a pic on MOTHERS DAY 2010!

****Please everyone, follow these guidelines!****
1. Be sure to refer back to my blog so everyone can see who is participating today, include the NTT button in your post (copy and paste the html code under the button…the button is located on my sidebar). Please make sure that you have put my NTT button or my blog name with a link on your post. I have seen that some of you have forgot to do this…so this is just a sweet reminder.
2. This party is for sharing thrifty finds from garage sales, thrift stores, consignment shops, craigslist and even those awesome deals that you find at any retail store. Please do not link to an Etsy shop or something similar (I will delete the link). If I see that your post is not really on track with the NTT theme and also if you don't link back, I'll delete your link...please don't make me do this. It's common courtesy to link back to the person having the party, so that all of your readers can find it too.
3. Please go and visit the other participates and leave a comment about their treasures and thrifty ideas…this is what makes the PAR-TAY so much FUN and what a great way to meet new friends.

I love that photo of the two of you. What beautiful ladies you are.

I got a candlestick this week at St. Vinney's but that's it. Not enough to post about but I'm so happy with my $1.49 treasure.

My mom and I are good together in small doses.
Maybe we are too much alike to be together too much more than that. I fondly remember our good years together.

My "thrift" this week is about the free portion of what I found this weekend.

Give extra kisses to your mom! My mom passed away at the young age of 54. It has been 13 years and I still miss her, but have such fond memories! My children do things that remind me of sweet! Lovely picture! Christie at Three Pixie Lane

I love the Teal/Turquoise Rehab project table, and she's got some great tips on how it was done. And the wall paper art is really inspirational!

Hi Linda, I am happy to be joining in your fun meme again. To say I have been busy is an understatement. Smile.

Time with your mom is always special. Your photo together is a treasure. The milk glass bud vases are also a treasure and a lasting memory in years to come. I too love orange but mostly in the Fall. Your beaded glass candle holder is a good find.

Happy thrifting to you.
Hugs, Jeanne

I didn't get any pictures taken to play along this week, I put up a recipe instead today. I am glad to read about your "mom" time. After losing my mom in May, I realize even more how lucky I was to have those special memories. It makes me happy when others are creating theirs.
