One Year Anniversary at COASTAL CHARM's really hard to believe that it has been one year ago today that I pushed that PUBLISH POST BUTTON and COASTAL CHARM was born! When I started this blog a year ago I never dreamed that I would still be here today...thanks to all of you...I'm still here and having the time of my life! I can't begin telling you how much I have enjoyed my blog...meeting all of you has been the best part of all! Today I'm going to share with you some of my longtime friends...these ladies have been with me since the early days of COASTAL CHARM...if you don't already know on their names and go by and meet them...they are all wonderful people...while you are there...tell them that I said HELLO!!!! I'm also posting here today my FIRST post...boy...I have really come a long way in one short year! I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all my 774 followers and are the best!!!

Kat@Low Tide High Style name is Linda...for six years I had an antiques business here on the Alabama gulf coast...I named my business COTTAGE CHARM. Cottage Charm was located in several shops, with locations in Fairhope, Foley and Mobile. I truly loved my business and met a lot of wonderful people along the way. Cottage Charm had a "Shabby Chic" feel to it with all the "chippy paint" and distressed furniture, vintage linens, hats, handbags and clothing. To some people at the shops I was referred to as "The Linen Lady"...I guess that was a good name for me since I sold a boatload of vintage linens...I think the 50's and 60's kitchen tablecloths were my favorites. My husband was a great help to me with my business, he was always there to load my merchandise when at market and local estate sales (husbands do come in handy)...thank you Mr.CC for all your help and encouragement...I could not have done this without you! Maybe one day I will get a wild hair and open my own shop. Here are some pics from the past...hope you enjoy looking!!!

Oh LInda, Happy, Happy Anniversary to You!!!!!

Your shops were wonderful and full of just the kind of "stuff" I love. I've been to several of those blogs you mentioned and enjoyed them also.

I want to thank you for taking the time to scan and send me that recipe, that was so sweet of you. I'm going to make it for Thanksgiving to share with my family.

I look forward to the next year on your blog! said...

Happy Anniversary! Do you still have your shop (maybe I missed something)? It looks like some place I could spend hours in.

Thought about you yesterday...I was watching the Jimmy Buffet "SAVE THE GULF" concert on CMT...made me homesick for my Gulf of Mexico :)

Congratulations Linda on your one year blog anniversary. I am truly honored that you included me in your list of long time blog friends!! I have so enjoyed your blog this past year and look forward to being your blog friend for many, many more!!
Thanks also for hosting Nifty Thrifty Tuesday each week. I know I've been absent from it for the past few weeks but it was "back to school" time and this time back to school meant getting my son ready for his first year of college. He's settled in and has the 1st week under his belt so things are getting into a more settled routine around here.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I am thrilled to be included in your list!

Maybe, it's a Southern thing, or an Auburn thing, or a blog thing, but I have always felt a connection with you. I enjoy being here.

You have a way of making us feel at home.

Congratulations on your anniversary.
Here's to many more!
