Her $20 Treasure

A few weeks ago, Mary Claire (my daughter) and I got up early and headed out to some garage sales. A few days earlier in the week, she had told me to start looking for her an accent chair. She is hoping to get her own place soon with some friends of hers, and she would like to have a comfy chair in her bedroom, where she can sit back and do some reading. Okay, so we start the search for that perfect chair. As luck would have it, she found it on day one...maybe I should have her go buy me some lottery tickets. Not only did she find it...get this...it was only $20!!! Oh yes...this lucky girl found a LazyBoy recliner and it came with a custom made slipcover. To make it even better, we know the people that were selling it (and no they didn't give us a discount...$20 was the ticket price). Since we are busting at the seams around here with all her extra furniture and stuff...then add in all my treasures that are waiting on me to restore them....this bad baby had to go in our dining room. When we can't locate her...then just check the dining room and you will be sure to find her...sitting there reading. Maybe we should rename this room, what ya think?
                                                Blessings,
                                                  Linda

                                      What an awesome find!

                                                 Nice style too!!!

I also found a treasure...here is one of my $8.00
pillows that I found at an antiques shop over in
                                        the bayou state.

Gotta love it,..when you find what
she is reading...her Bible. I am sure
                                               one lucky mother.

Linda, great chair but I'm more impressed with the book resting on it and your sweet daughter hiding its words in her heart :) You are a lucky mom but I would wager that she's a lucky girl to have had a mom to set a good example.

What an absolutely score, awesome for her to have such a nice chair for her room in her new life.
Oh come on that's not fair. Wish I knew how to make a slipcover for hubs chair, it's getting really old and pretty crummy looking. I'd love to banish it but he loves that durned chair. Happy summer

the chair was obviously meant for her.
