I have been wanting to add to my seashell collection for sometime now. I have a pretty large collection of shells that I have collected along our beaches here on the Alabama gulf coast, but I needed some more for the large frame that I want to make, that will have a family pic of the four of us on the beach. I plan on putting this framed pic of us in our family room, I have had this plan for years now, but just never got around to get it going...no problem now....I'm LOADED with SEASHELLS and best of all...they were FREE!!!! No...I didn't collect this boatload of shells, someone didn't want their collection anymore, so I was nice and took them off their hands...now wasn't that sweet of me? I have been cleaning these for hours and hours and still have a ton more to go...so when you wish for something be careful...you might get more than you wished for! If you are thinking that this frame is the same one you saw at NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAYS this week...you are WRONG...that's another project that I'm working on and I will be sharing that with you very soon. I have seashells all over my home and beach condo...looking for some new ideas on how to display with them...if you have some neat ideas I would love to hear them.
Thanks for coming and I hope
to see you here again,
Linda
These are my favorites!
Now I told you I got a boatload and this is only about 1/2 of them!
They even had some sand dollars in the collection.
Great colors!
Looking forward to making my frame!

You can never have too many shells...lol...
Maybe this summer you will get some ideas from other blogs and magazines. The little ones are fun for crafts! You DID get your wish...a thousand times over!
XO,
Jane
Wow! Love the pearl look to some and sand dollars, just love them. (love your kitchen too) :)
I load up on shells every time I come to the beach so I have quite a few. I'm not quite ready to get them out yet but it won't be long.
I fixed my lemon pie recipe tonight and just as soon as hubby gets home we'll dig in, I shared the recipe on yesterday's post.
Hugs!
Judy
You need to open a shell etsy store! WOW! That is a boat load!
WHAT? didn't want their shells? never heard of such a thing! lucky you!!
Wow! You weren't kidding - that's a ton of shells. Can't wait to see the frame and all the other projects you'll come up with for them.
You live on the Gulf Coast and found these really nice shells? I live on Clearwater Beach, right on the Gulf but there are not such nice shells here, no matter what time of day I go out? Ours all seem to be broken?
Can't wait to see how your frame comes out...
Sandy

can't wait to see the finished family seashell frame. I know it's going to be fabulous. I made beach Santas this past winter with collected seashells. Your shells are so pretty. Your sand dollars look different than the ones I collected this summer on the S.C. coastline. Wonder why? How do you clean them? Have a wonderful day. xo

Lucky, lucky you! They are beautiful. I have seen some shell crafts lately in magazines and am always wishing I still lived near the shore, so I could collect shells again. Enjoy!!!
What a lovely collection you received, you're one lucky girl! Those Wavy Turbans are exquisite and I adore Pink-mouthed Murexes.
A close friend in California sent me a pic last week of the Wavy Turbans she found down in the San Diego area. She wanted me to identify them for her and ask how she could clean them up. I was so jealous I told her to send them to me, lol. Wish we could find those here on the Gulf, they are so beautiful.
I'm looking forward to seeing your finished mirror, you're certainly off to a great start with such a wonderful collection. Those along with your collection is going to be stunning!
I made a shell mirror frame once, when we lived in Naples, Fl...
Your shells are wonderful and I am looking forward to seeing your frame..
Hugs,
Penny

Love all those shells. You lucky girl. I am soooo jealous. Can't wait to see how your frame turns out. You should do a post on what beaches have the best shelling and people could tell their stories too. There are so many people who love collecting shells:-)
I thought I had a lot of shells...nothing compared to your collection. There's something comforting about having shells around, don't ya think? Can't wait to see the mirror you make :)
All of those shells are so beauitful! You were so lucky to to "inherit" them! Your frame will look beautiful!
Well wishes do come true then?
They are lovely and look worth the time to clean them up.
Linda,
They're fabulous! I love shells! You can never have too many. LOL
Sherry
