Show and Share No.228...I'm Back

Y'all, my blog break was great, but I am soooo glad to be back blogging again. In the five years that I have been blogging, I have never taken such a long break. I felt the Lord speaking to me, and telling me, that I needed to take some time away and re-group. After the tragic car accident that both of my daughters were involved in on August 29, all I wanted to do was spend time with my family. Things change after a close call like this, hits your family. It really makes so many things look much clearer. I had time to step back and realize that I need to slow down, and spend more time with my love ones. We are now going to have a family night every other Thursday. This night will be spent with our daughters and son-in-law and our first one, will be this Thursday. I'm so looking forward to this time together. If, you don't already do something like this, then maybe you might want to try it too. Thanks for coming by today and sharing what you have been up to. I'm really looking forward to reading your posts.
                                                  Blessings,
                                                     Linda

Oh Linda, welcome back! Yes, getting family together regularly is something we ALL should do when we're able.

So excited to see you're going to be a part of City Farmhouse's and CHapel Market shows. Those are big! My sisters and I are getting ready for our first barn sale, and I'm previewing it here. Who knows how ours will turn out, but you're sure to have a great following. Best wishes to family and showtime fun!

I can really relate to your daughters' accident, my daughter was in a terrible accident in July of 2013, and God really watched over her. Her friend riding with her was able to call us and we were at the accident scene in minutes, it was the most frightening thing that I have ever gone through. She had serious injuries but has been healing nicely this past year, we all feel so blessed that she is alive and doing so well. I am so happy that your girls are doing well, another miracle for sure! I had to take a short blog break after my daughters accident so I could process everything, once I got back to blogging I found it to be helpful for processing my feelings. Yes, seat belts sure do save lives, and in my daughter's case the air bags were also a lifesaver. Family time is something I definitely cherish even more now as well! :)

I am glad that your girls are doing well after their horrible accident.

Fortunately, our children are both living quite close to us at the moment although that has not always been the case. We are a close knit family taking a major vacation together each year and at least one family ski trip. Our daughter has instituted, Tuesday Tennis with her father and she drops in for meals if she knows dad is fixing one of her favorites. Our son is dating a girl who also comes from a close knit family. They have planned a sailing day for the two families this weekend. We feel blessed that our children want to spend time with us
