Today I have posted some pics of our VINTAGE NATIVITY that came from Mr.CC's family...I have another nativity but this one is so SPECIAL because it's the one that Mr.CC had in his childhood home...the memories are so wonderful. Since we lost both of his parents during our first year of marriage, I try to keep some family treasures displayed around our home, so their memory stays with us every day. When my daughters get married and start their own families, I plan on passing on family heirlooms...I wonder which one will want this lovely nativity...I guess only time will tell!
Hope y'all come back...real soon,
Linda

Every family should have a nativity that they hand-down & treasure. We even have a Native-American nativity that has a teepee for the stable. On a side note - congrats on your little come back Friday night.

This looks like the same nativity my mother in law sets out every year. I love the history behind your treasures.

Beautiful Nativity Scene and what a special part of the holidays! It is so wonderful being surrounded by things that warm our hearts.
I love all of the old Nativity Sets - especially those that you can tell have been loved. Sally

That is a very pretty naivety scene. I am sure your children will want it. Trust they all do not. That would be a problem. It is a truly blessed treasure.
My family had one just like it -- think my mom still has it somewhere! LOVED seeing it again.
Hi Linda, What a wonderful way to honor their memory and remind Mr CC of his childhood home.
I was wondering if you were about to have a heart attack in the first half of the Auburn/Al game yesterday. My hubby was so frustrated with Auburn. Luckily they improved in the 2nd half.
Hugs,
Sherry
I love your vintage nativity! So sweet!

I Love Decorating with things that are sentimental and have meaning to me. The memories attached are priceless!
That is such a great nativity set! I have a few of those pieces in mine, but it is a mixture of a few different sets. The creche is gorgeous.
My sister is the builder of our special creche in our family. It's a wonderful tradition- lovely post. I added your party button!
What a sweet vintage nativity set. How wonderful you have it to display with all the memories that come with it. I'm adding you button and YES!, War Eagle!!!!
Hi Linda!
Love the story behind your beautiful nativity. So sweet! A family treasure to pass on for sure.
I added your "Open House" button, btw :)
Take care!
~Michelle
I've got you added to my sidebar! :)
Wonderful vintage nativity! This reminds me of the one we had when I was a child. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in the 1971 earthquake in California and had to be replaced. They always remind me of my mother, who always set up the nativity first every year.
Can't wait for your Open House, I'm going to add your button to my sidebar right now!
That one is identical to my moms. She has had it as long as I can remember. I have such fond memories of moving all the figurines around, and finding them moved back later in the day. It was a ritual...back and forth, back and forth all December! Have a wonderful and blessed holiday!
Oh yeah, and I will post the party button too.
How special to have this nativity that means so much. It is lovely.
Al lost both of his parents when he was in college - about a year apart, so I never had the pleasure of meeting them. He doesn't have very many things from home, but we treasure those things.
How 'bout that game!!!!! The wildest one yet!
Rhonda
