Well, I finally got it together this year and set up a "HOT COCOA BAR" in my kitchen. For the past two years, I have wanted to do this, but just never got around to it. So, it looks like 2014 is the year to finally have this fun festive bar at Coastal Charm. A few days before I started all my holiday decorating, I came across this bar cart that I had painted gold a few months ago. My plans for this vintage cart was to sell it at the shop, but it looks like it won't be leaving here anytime soon. It fits perfect in this spot, so I think it has found it's new home. Now, let's see what my hot cocoa bar looks like for the holidays.
Blessings,
Linda
Pull some vintage items together
then add some hot cocoa and
look...you have yourself a fun
"HOT COCOA BAR".
Bright festive colors are perfect
for the holiday season.
This cute little fella, was the perfect touch
to welcome all our friends and family to
the bar.
Everything you need for a yummy
cup of hot cocoa is here waiting for
you!
Goodies can be found to add
to your cup of cocoa.
A vintage Santa mug is a must for
this vintage lovin' gal.
As you see here, I don't make up a cocoa mix,
I rather have individual packs of several different
flavors.
Peppermint is one of my favorites.
You can find it and other wonderful
flavors at your local Target.
My vintage silver tinsel tree
was the perfect size, so I knew
this is where I wanted it to go.
I never have a cup
without adding these.
A vintage milk bottle and
mason jar always add charm.
Thank you for coming by and
taking a look at my new bar.
I'd love for you to stay connected with Coastal Charm...so come on over and join me there!!!

Lovin it Linda! That cart is perfect for the job. And I can't do hot chocolate without marshmallows, either:) We just went to the Kriskindlemarket here in Chicago, it's a well known German Christmas festival/bazaar that takes place every year. My daughter and I got hot chocolate with whipped cream and it was the best I'd ever had! Have a blessed Christmas!

You know I love those napkins! Such a cute set up!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this, Linda! Such a great idea and one I've wanted to do, too. I have a great metal stand that I have stored in the attic right now. It would be perfect for this, except I have no room! : (
ReplyDeleteI just bought some cute red and white straws, too. I have to figure out a way to do a coco bar somewhere in my kitchen because I have everything I need to do one.
Adorable! I'd love to have a cup with you!

The tree is the perfect finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteit doesn't get any better than a hot cocoa bar for Christmas time. I love the long legged guy hanging on the shutter- very cute and tasty post. Now, I need to go find some of that salted caramel chocolate! Yum.

Love this -- it's been on my "list" of things I want to do for several years as well. I love the cart and the idea of using all of the vintage things - the mugs remind me of ones we had growing up.
ReplyDeleteCute cocoa bar and LOVE that vintage silver tree! Brings me back to my childhood. We had the large one with the rotating color wheel!!
ReplyDeletefantastic. I want one.

So fun! I put one together this year also, and we are all enjoying it. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteVery "sweet" Linda!!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing this, now that my grands are here; a cocoa bar is the best. I remember we had in the late 50's a tree like that. My mom loved it and that is back in Astoria-Queens, NY.

I'll be right over! What a fun spot you've created, I can see why you didn't want to bring that cart to the shop. Love the old jars and the sweet Santa mug too. Thanks Linda for sharing at Vintage Inspiration Party.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great look. I would like to set one up after Christmas at my house. I always need something to perk things up after Christmas.
ReplyDeletePlease drop by!
Happy Christmas!
