Today I have posted some pics of our VINTAGE NATIVITY that came from Mr.CC's family...I have another nativity but this one is so SPECIAL because it's the one that Mr.CC had in his childhood home...the memories are so wonderful. Since we lost both of his parents during our first year of marriage, I try to keep some family treasures displayed around our home, so their memory stays with us every day. When my daughters get married and start their own families, I plan on passing on family heirlooms...I wonder which one will want this lovely nativity...I guess only time will tell!
Hope y'all come back...real soon,
Linda

Every family should have a nativity that they hand-down & treasure. We even have a Native-American nativity that has a teepee for the stable. On a side note - congrats on your little come back Friday night.

That is a very pretty naivety scene. I am sure your children will want it. Trust they all do not. That would be a problem. It is a truly blessed treasure.

ReplyDeleteHi Linda, What a wonderful way to honor their memory and remind Mr CC of his childhood home.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you were about to have a heart attack in the first half of the Auburn/Al game yesterday. My hubby was so frustrated with Auburn. Luckily they improved in the 2nd half.
Hugs,
Sherry

I've got you added to my sidebar! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful vintage nativity! This reminds me of the one we had when I was a child. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in the 1971 earthquake in California and had to be replaced. They always remind me of my mother, who always set up the nativity first every year.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for your Open House, I'm going to add your button to my sidebar right now!
That one is identical to my moms. She has had it as long as I can remember. I have such fond memories of moving all the figurines around, and finding them moved back later in the day. It was a ritual...back and forth, back and forth all December! Have a wonderful and blessed holiday!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and I will post the party button too.
ReplyDeleteHow special to have this nativity that means so much. It is lovely.
ReplyDeleteAl lost both of his parents when he was in college - about a year apart, so I never had the pleasure of meeting them. He doesn't have very many things from home, but we treasure those things.
How 'bout that game!!!!! The wildest one yet!
Rhonda
