Mr.CC and I both really enjoy watching college football...it's our favorite thing to do together as a couple. Tonight is the first game of the 2010 season...so guess what we will be doing?...yes...you are right...we will be right there in front of the TV watching USM play South Carolina...I'm still not sure who I will be pulling for...decisions! Our first game will kick off on Saturday night...I still can't believe that we will not be there in person to start the 2010 season off...this will be the first time in six years that we have not been there for the first game, but come September 18...we will be there to help cheer on our TIGERS!!!! I thought I would share some pics from last year...it was a good year for us and we are hoping that this year will be even better...so I'm going to wrap this up with a big WAR EAGLE!!!

WAR EAGLE!!!
ReplyDeleteLike you, our household is already gearing up for Auburn football...the AU decorations are ready for display (I'll do a repeat of last year's table) and MacDaddy has already printed the roster for all. He's got his flag ready to hoist on Sat...Excitement fills the air. And like you...we're watching the So. Miss vs. South Carolina...and pulling for SC (no real reason for this). We cannot wait until we can get to a game or two...
Where do you usually set up your tailgate? We always join our friends and roommates at the gameday condos behind Mama Goldbergs. (These locals have decided that they're getting too old to tote all the gear...especially since they have 3 grandbabies who usually show up for the food and fun. It's also a short walk to the stadium and all the festivities. (I do miss our spot by Mary Martin, though.)
Enjoy the game...
Jane (artfully graced)

ReplyDeleteLove the photos!
ReplyDeleteWe watched the first half of the game at Mellow Mushroom tonight. Walking down the street, you could already sense the excitement in the air!!!
Tents were pitched and lots of folks in big RV's were already in the zone!
Alex will go to the first game with Al, and I will probably stay at Caro's apt. during the game with little Mason. We are tailgating in her tiny front yard.
War Eagle!

ReplyDeleteFootball season in the south is sooo much fun! I'm an Arkansas girl, so I say GO Hogs! Woo pig soiee! My husband is a Texas Tech Red Raider, and we go to a lot of games out in Lubbock, including this past weekend's game vs. SMU. We had a blast!
ReplyDeleteLinda, My husband and two of our children graduated from Auburn. You know we are Tiger fans! Our daughter, who lives in Auburn, married a man that went to Alabama. When the two teams play they watch the game in separate rooms! Have fun this season.
