OMGosh...what a day of thriftin I had this past Saturday...Mr.CC and I hit the JACKPOT! I'm going to be bad and leave the best for the end...I'm bad I know. We left out early to get to the flea market so we could get first pick of the plants. Our local flea market has several dealers who have some awesome plants with very low prices...I have gone a little wild buying lots of plants and trees...I will share all of them with you later in another post...so be sure to check back to see all my pretties!
So after the flea market, we headed out to garage sales and a estate sale...I think we bought something at every sale...it was a total of five sales. I was really happy with what we were finding...I past up a lot of great things because Mr.CC was with me...you know how men are! We headed across the bay to do some REAL work for Mr.CC's real estate business and it was around noon when we pulled into the neighborhood next to ours...yes I spotted a garage sale sign...I usually don't stop at a sale this late in the day...but I'm sure glad I did this time...they had just what we have been trying to find the time to go out and buy...what could it be? I promise it's coming!
This white ceramic chafing dish will be perfect for all our Auburn tailgate parties in the Fall...$5.00!
Small White Ironstone Pitcher...$1.50!
Silver Tray...as you can see, I have not cleaned it yet...$1.00!
A seafood tureen and four matching bowls...here on the coast we eat lots of seafood gumbo...so this is perfect for us...I paid a little more than I should have...but it is brand new...$12.00!
Luv the colors!
This is it! We found enough TRAVERTINE TUMBLED TILES for our kitchen backsplash...for pennies! Five boxes for...$25.00!!!! Yes...I did a little happy dance right there at the sale!
This is just what we wanted...I really could not believe that we had just saved hundreds of dollars...I guess it was our lucky day!
We are going to add some accent tiles with these...be sure to check back for the finish project.

ReplyDeleteWell, it took 7 tries over the last two days to get linked up. This is really hard. Is this the new Mr. Linky or something? Maybe I am just dense, but it just wouldn't work. Finally got it to go. I guess others find this easier, they all seemed to be linked. Sorry for rambling on. Just happy to finally be linked. Two people left comments on my blog saying they couldn't link up either. Maybe you could post some really easy directions so us not to tecky ones can figure it out. Thanks. Hugs, Marty
