Lovin' Me Some Ironstone

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. We have just wrapped up the second day of our spring garage sale here at Coastal Charm...whew...sure glad that's all finished:) I will say...I am really happy with all the stuff that left our nest and best of all...all the money that I now have to spend...oh happy day! Now when I go out pickin' at garage sales, thrift store and flea markets...I am always looking for IRONSTONE...just let me say...I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! I try really hard to part with some of it and sell it in my booths, but it's not easy for me to let it go. Okay, I might have an IRONSTONE problem, but let's face it, it could be a lot worse, if you know what I mean.
                                   Let's see what I've got,
                                              Linda

Now I just had to have this platter...love the shape and size!
Some of my collection...I have more in the dining room.
My $4 teapot...with the lid..it would have been
                                        more like $60.
                      Cute handle...don't ya think?
                                    Tiny $3 creamer.
                                  Adding to the collection.
                                     Since I am so nice...

I will be selling all of this...so if you are local...new
Ironstone will be in stock soon!
Has anybody read this book? My daughter gave it
to me months ago and I have still not had the
                                      chance to start it.
You just can't go wrong...with IRONSTONE!!!!

  1. "Oh Yes", I share your passion! Some followed me home this week. AND if it's a creamy white it gets to ride up front with me AND if it's creamy white with a raised pattern of creamy white "It also rides up front BUT also wears a seat belt"!
Your book looks GOOD, I'm going to have to LOOK IT UP!!!
Thank you for showing off your BEAUTIFUL GOODIES!
    Have a fun weekend,
    Hugs,
    Donna

  6. Your collection is amazing and I love how you have it all displayed. I haven't seen that book but the cover looks intriguing -- I was just thinking today when I drove past the library that I REALLY need to find some time to sit and read a good book!

  7. I love your collection, Linda! I don't have Ironstone, I just like the white pieces and I especially like little pitchers or creamers and sugar bowls. My newest thing I look for at the thrift, antique and flea marts are tureens. Surprisingly, the Goodwills I've been to here in Ohio and back when we lived in NY had some nice ones and they were all in great shape.

  10. I am sharing your love for ironstone, dang why can't I live closer. I have built my collection by getting those teapots without the lids too. I love finding an imperfect platter at a great price, it shows use.

  21. I also love the ironstone and love all the wonderful colors of Pyrex. The new stuff can't begin to compare with the vintage. Honestly I can't even remember to last time I was at a retail kitchen store (he he).

  24. Ironstone is always a PLUS! One Thousand Gifts....I have to read this book a little at a time. I read a little and then I just chew on it and soak in it. It is too much for my little pea brain to handle all at once. And honestly, for me...It is best with this type of book to just read a little and let soak. YES it will change the outlook on life. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
