  1. I'm right there with you! My pots have all dried up. The weeds, however, don't seem to mind the heat!

  2. My flowers are all gone, too. Waiting for the cool down to plant some more.

  3. Your flowers look much better than mine, but maybe that was the 'before' picture. I'm ready to see some pansies and mums. Bring on the fall!

  4. Yours were beautiful! I'm sorry they're gone. Mine are still looking good, but we get a much later start here! I fully expect mine to last another 6-8 weeks. (ok, maybe that's wishful thinking, but I'm putting it out there) :)

    Have a great day!

  5. My flowers have all withered away in this scorching heat. I blame myself partly but I don't think any amount of babying them would have saved them. Ready for some fall mums. Gorgeous pics!

  6. I have a few that are hanging on but a lot are either fried or starting to sizzle! I'm going to try to cut them back and see if they get a second wind.

  8. Beautiful photos! Sorry to hear they're gone. It's been such a rough summer in the south. We've been getting tons of rain up north, so my gardens are looking a tad bit more wild than I prefer, but we don't get the late color that you do in the south. Thanks for sharing.

  9. Isn't it something how the weeds aren't affected by the heat? I was just outside watering my flowers and noticed the weeds in the area by the poolhouse ugh!!! Yes, mine have been slowly losing their spring goodness, I guess fall is on it's way whether I like it or not!

  12. My flowers are looking pretty good, the roses are blooming still and I had two huge dragon leaf begonias until the deer ate them this weekend!

  13. well, truth be told, most of mine have withered. :(
We haven't had enough rain, and Ms forgetful forgot to water some of the potted plants. I'm trying to revive them. They're living, but not very pretty. :(

  16. We've been in the mid 90's for weeks and our flowers are spent! I've actually gotten rid of a lot of my potted plants already because they were too strung out. I may replant the pots in a couple of weeks when things cool down with mums and pansies! By the way your spring flowers were gorgeous! Thank heavens for air conditioning!

Thank you so much for your kind comment on my blog this morning. It's always nice hearing from you, Linda!

  17. Your flowers look so pretty. Some of my pots I had to throw out, that was due to me not watering them. :) It has been cooler here lately so the garden is still hanging in there. :)

  20. Your flowers look pretty. I am in Michigan and looks like Fall is just round the corner. The thought of winters makes me sad coz then there won't be my flowers to make me smile every morning.
