Antiques At The Loop...Part 1

There is nothing like going home. This week I have moved in at Antiques at the Loop, a shop that I was in, back when I first started my business. After spending three years here, in 2005, I decided to do more decorating jobs, so I closed the retail part of my business. This is a wonderful shop, that is full of great vendors, and I am so happy to be back here with them. If you are local, I know that you already shop here, so the next time you stop in, please be sure to check out the new kid (really an old kid). It's Almost That Time

Yes...it's almost that time of year, that Mr.CC gets up in the attic and brings down all my totes full of Christmas decor. I am sooooo excited, that I will be decorating a tad bit early this year, and that means more time to enjoy all the beauty of Christmas. Now, I better not get to excited, first, this ole gal gotta get this house in tip top condition. So, the next few days, I will be cleaning everything in site, oh boy! I have decided to not put up my vintage tree this year, and instead, just use my vintage ornaments throughout my home. My plan is, to cut back a tad this year, I sure hope I can do it, only time will tell. I really love for my home to be full Christmas cheer, but cutting back just a little, will really help me have more time to spend on my business. My business, Coastal Charm Interiors, really keeps me busy, and especially at this time of the year. Well, I better go, and get to all the cleaning. Perfect Beach Day

Here on the Alabama gulf coast, we are very blessed with perfect beach temps in the month of November. Yesterday, we headed down to our condo, and oh what a beautiful day it was there...mid 70's...just can't beat that! A perfect day to have lunch out on our beach front balcony. As you can see from the pictures, not many people were out on the beach, what a shame! If you are thinking about a vacation before the end of the year, maybe Gulf Shores is just the place for you, rates are low and the weather is perfect. I was busy yesterday adding some new decor items to our beach home. I never like keeping the same things in there to long, so I am always changing it up. Let's see what I changed this time around.

I changed out the chest in the hallway,

and added this one. I am lovin' how this

makeover on my chest looks. Silly me,

I forgot to get a side pic. I painted the sides

white, so they would match the drawer fronts.

 

 

Added new lamps in this room.

 

 

Changed out items on this shelf unit.

 

                                 Removed what I had on this wall, and
                                 added a chalkboard that I made from
                                 an old famed print (you all know how
                                 THRIFTY I am).

                     Last thing I did, was I changed out the greenery in those
                            bamboo cones. Gotta keep things FRESH!!!
