Up Up and Away

Summer is here in full swing, and we all like to get out there and enjoy some fun family time, don't we? Well, I know this family does, so last weekend we headed to a Hot Air Balloon Festival, and fun was had by all. None of us had ever been to one of these festivals, and boy we were happy that we didn't miss this one. The balloons were all so beautiful, with all the colors and designs. We watched as some of them went up and away...ahhh what an outstanding site that was. Then we watch others light up as the sun went down. Now this was just as beautiful, and one awesome family fun night came to an end. If a festival comes near you, make plans to attend, I don't think you will be disappointed.

    Great pictures from the festival Linda! I went to my first balloon festival a few years ago and thought it was so much fun too! I especially liked the glow show at 5:30A.M. when the balloons were all lit up and were taking off.

    Wonderful pictures! A few years back my husband and I drove about an hour and half, paid over $20 each admission to a festival. Unfortunately they said it was too windy for them to go up. We couldn't even see or feel a breeze! I was so disappointed! I'm glad you got to enjoy!

    We were down in the area a few years ago and saw a few of the balloons while going to dinner. I hate that we missed it. Hope attend some day. Thank you for sharing.

    Linda we used to watch the balloons go up in Delmar when I lived in California!! Such a beautiful site!

    I grew up in a house across from a huge field owned by the school system. Every summer, there was a hot air balloon festival that launched from that field. It was mesmerizing to watch all those balloons in that big field. I agree with you that it's something that shouldn't be missed!
