If you are new here and don't know that I'm a retired shop owner...well get this...I've got the fever to start back at what I LOVE...selling home decor items. Okay ladies...I'm not going full power with this just yet...first I'm making some frames to sell to local shop owners and if I like how that goes...then I might just make some pillows and who knows...the next step I can see myself selling at some nearby shows. The business that I was in...was antiques/gift items and I was located in several upscale antique shops here along the gulf coast. I sold farmhouse...cottage and shabby chic style merchandise and lots and lots of vintage linens. So if I get back into the business again...I'm sure I will have the same style going on...until then...I'm just going to play around with some handmade (one of a kind) picture frames. How did all of this get started? Well...my best friend is just about to open a gift shop here in town and I offered to make her some picture frames for her shop and there you go...I caught the FEVER! Please be honest and tell what you think...that's what friends do:)
Happy to have you here,
Linda
Down on the farm!
What a cute model I have here!
We love our cotton here in the
DEEP SOUTH!!!
To be honest...I'm not really
lovin' this one...it just might
be removed from the
shop.
Now this one...I'm sooooo LOVIN'!!!
The lighting is really poor here...sorry!
Another cutie pie!!!!
Just a start...I have so many
more ideas on future ones,
so stay tune there is more
to come!

I love them! You are so creative!
ReplyDeleteThey are all precious...love the sweet babies! What a great idea! ♥
ReplyDeleteVery Sweet! I love the simplicity! I'm also a retired shop owner and know exactly what you're talking about... Is it something in our blood to want to dive back in? I'm thinking about an etsy shop myself...just haven't decided exactly what I want to do. Good luck with your venture... I'll follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteYou frames are so wonderfully creative, Linda! Congrats on your new business!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Potpourri Friday. I appreciate you participation!
Love the frames -- my only suggestion would be that the cross/clothespin one needs 'something' - maybe vintage jewelry or something on the clothes pin or modpodge the pin with pretty paper? You could add a small amount of stenciling or a graphic on the others? Wish I was in your shoes with a place to sell things!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm so impressed! I've never seen anything like them before which means you're on to something! I think they're very cute and cleverly put together. They truly look handmade with love. I say go for it. What do you have to lose? Any that don't sell you can always give as gifts yourself. With the holiday season coming up, you should do quite well.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!!! Love the very first one. It's my fav!!
ReplyDeleteFirst one is my favorite. Keep them coming!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas!
