Okay...I know all of you want to know just why this sweet hubby of mine is in TROUBLE...because I have the PAINTING BUG and I might just cost him lots of moola, with all my painting supplies! After painting the bedroom at our beach condo and falling in love with the color, I just wanted to keep on painting and I did just that. The end tables in the living area at the condo have been around for a few years know and were showing some signs of "OLD AGE", so makeover time it was. Yes...that was one my tables that you saw sitting out on the balcony getting a sanding job the other day. I decided that I wanted to use a olive color for them and I went with Laura Ashley-Olive 4 and I'm very happy with my choice...that makes Mr.CC happy too. I have never used a glaze, but after seeing all beautiful pieces that Kim has used this product on...I was set to give it a try...thanks Kim for the intro...I LOVE this stuff! I used the color mocha and I looking forward to trying some of the other colors too. If you have never used this product...then you must jump in the car and hop over to the nearest Lowe's and pick you up a bottle...this stuff works wonders. I'm now back home and looking around to see what my next victim will be...any guesses? If you are in the middle of this huge snow/ice storm...please stay in and stay safe...please know that all of y'all are in my prayers.
Now y'all come back...real soon,
Linda
I have been really happy for 7 years with the white...
but both of them had some stains that just would not
come off!
This product is sooooo easy to use...brush it on...then
wipe it off!!!!
GREAT STUFF!!!!!
After painting...glazing...then I added some paste finishing wax.
This stuff goes a long way and looks really good!
Here is table #1 all finished!
Now Table #2...I'm sooooo lovin' how
their makeover turned out!

ReplyDeleteThe tables look fantastic, Linda. Glazes have always scared me. I am the type that says "Enough", because I am afraid I'm going to ruin it! But I love to see the outcome when bloggers do it. Nice job, love the color!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
wow, that green looks amazing! It's a great color and it came out looking like you bought it at an expensive beach store!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great Linda!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the tables Linda! LOVE the color! I actually bought some of the Mocha glaze last week at Lowes....painted my 4 chairs ivory....and I am scared to death to sand them! What is up with that??? You have given me some courage and hopefully tonight, I will take the sandpaper and get to sanding! Then glaze.....glaze I am not afraid of...sanding? yes!
ReplyDeletewe shall see....

Linda they are beautiful! I love the color you chose and I love that stain technique! I am so glad that you are having fun, I am like you, once I start painting I can't stop!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou stopped me cold with "condo in Florida". I'm sitting in my chair looking out at the 14" of new snow we got overnight and longing for the Florida sun.
ReplyDeleteThat aside....your transformation is fantastic, Kim's painting instructions has inspired to also. So far I'm still in my chair but I do plan to get up and paint something soon, I hope mind turns out as well as your's has. Thanks for sharing.
You have made this look so easy, I have two nightstands that I hate the color! Kinda of a gray white....I am going to see if I can get the supplies for my birthday! How fun...I see red tables!!!!!! :):) Sandy
ReplyDeleteThey look great, Linda! Thanks for sharing the products too.
ReplyDeleteTHE TABLES TURNED OUT GREAT. GREAT COLOR AND DISTRESSING
ReplyDeleteThey turned out beautifully! Just one question, did you use the paste wax on just the top, or on the whole thing? I haven't used it yet, and I am curious to try it out!
