Blog Friends Are Real Friends

As we meet each other through our blogs, friendships are made even if we have not actually met in person...do you agree with me? I have been very blessed to meet so many wonderful gals since I started my blog and I look forward to meeting some of them in person one day. The other day I got a message from one of these sweet ladies, she needed my address so she could send me something that made her think about me while she was out shopping this week...I was so thrilled that she had thought of me...a blog FRIEND! Meet my FRIEND...Sylvia...her blog is MY TRINKETS. With a memory of a 51 year old...I think I met Sylvia at my weekly NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAYS PARTY...please correct me Sylvia, if I have this wrong...you know getting old is tough! So what did she send me? A beautiful "COASTAL CHARM" sign...now you see why she thought of me when she saw this beauty. Not only did she send me this beauty, I also received
 a sweet little valentine's card and a bag of "conversation hearts"...now this bag of candy will disappear real fast around here at my house. So if you want to meet a new friend...head right over to Sylvia's place and tell her I said HELLO!!!

    how sweet! i definitely feel as you do, that blog friends are real friends. there's a few gals who i definitely feel that way about, and "talk" to them nearly every post they make, and vice versa. i often think of them when i'm out and see something...it never ceases to amuse me that i see something a "friend" would like, but i don't actually know these friends!

    What a beautiful sign and so perfect for you. Wasn't Sylvia thoughtful to remember you? That was so sweet! I too have some wonderful blog friends and I have been fortunate to meet many of them in person so far. I still would like to meet more of them in person. You for one, were so nice to check on me today! That meant a lot to me. What a lovely beach place you have. The beach is gorgeous! I know you love being able to relax there on the weekends.     You know.. I just sent a private email to a blog friend I met years ago.. when I was at a different blog..yada yada... and it is amazing the people you meet and the relationships you make and maintain.... at times..never meeting or speaking in person...

    What a nice gesture! I like Sylvia already and haven't even been to her blog yet! I love my blog friends as much as my real friends. In some ways my blog buddies are actually closer because of all we share in common.
    Congratulations to you on reaching a thousand followers. I'm so happy for you, and definitely not surprised! You are so nice, gracious, enthusiastic, and sharing. I feel like I really know you just from reading your blog. And you've got great style too! ;)
    And your question about what to give away in your last post? IMO something you picked out personally would be more treasured than a gift card. It would feel like a present from a friend, just like what Sylvia picked out for YOU. Right? It's really all about celebrating 1000 friends. May you enjoy the friends you have already, and make many more along the way.
