With Spring in full swing, I thought I would share an old post of mine...it's my MOM CAVE! Do you have a MOM CAVE? Well I guess you see where mine is...it's my screen porch...oh how I love this room!!!! Next week I will be giving it a bath, since all the pollen seems to be gone for now...oh I really don't like that stuff!! After the bath, I'm planning on changing out the fabric on my vintage wicker sofa and rocker...the flip flop fabric is a little tired, so a new black/green apple stripe will take it's place (I will post new pics after the makeover). All I really need out here now is cable, then Mr.CC might not never get me inside again...maybe that's why he hasn't installed it for me...you think? So if you have a MOM CAVE, share it with us or maybe I should do a MOM CAVE linky party...whatcha think?
Thanks for coming and I hope
you have a wonderful day,
Linda
Susan@Between Naps on the Porch is having a mom cave linky party contest sponsored by Home Goods...the prize...$250 shopping spree...enough said...count me in! If I'm lucky and WIN...think I will purchase a new lamp...my current one is about 30 years old...they always have such an awesome selection of lamps (I bought my last one there a few months ago). Now if I WIN the GRAND PRIZE... maybe I will get some artwork to go above my wicker sofa...I have all my fingers and toes cross...wish me luck! Home Goods is a favorite spot for me to do some serious shopping...so here I go...showing you where I relax and unwind. Please be sure to go by Susan's blog and check out all the caves!
Welcome y'all to my MOM CAVE!
My porch has a coastal feel to it and these two adirondack chairs add to this look.
Talk about comfort...these are so comfy!
Talk about comfort...these are so comfy!
I do allow Mr.CC a little space for his "Green Egg",
how sweet of me to share.
Mr.Bunny has been with me for years...almost a member of the family!
Okay...here it is...my FAVORITE place in my MOM CAVE...my SWING!I have always enjoyed a porch swing...I think it goes all the way back to my childhood days at my grandparents home in the country and spending hours at a time swinging on theirs.
I'm an outdoor gal, so spending time out here gives me lots of needed MOM TIME!
One of my favorite finds, is this rustic CHURCH basket that I found at a craft show in Mississippi years ago.
Love her handle...don't you? Just look at her cute little bell!
Here are a few pics after I added some thrifty curtains made from sheets,
what do you think...are they keepers?
I found this vintage wicker rocker and a matching sofa at a moving sale at the beach...now it didn't look anything like this...with some cleaning and painting...she started to look much better. I cover the cushions with some "FLIP FLOP" fabric...adding more to the coastal look.
I spend many hours out here reading while sipping a tall glass of lemonade....sometimes I even do some blogging too!
Thanks for visiting my MOM CAVE...hope y'all come back...real soon,
Linda
I love your MOM cave, it looks so inviting!

I would fit perfectly in your littel flip-flop chair for a good book...I admit, I'm a bit jealous...well...just a bit.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I just had to stop by and check out your "Mom Cave". I didn't participate in this particular link party for a couple reasons, one, I'm more of a giver than receiver, and two, I'm not a "mom" so I felt it best to leave this one to the women who deserve it, which are those who have raised their children, and put in the time, with hard work, tears of joy, and sorrow etc. I love your space, particularly the indoor/outdoor swing! The view to outside is so peaceful I can imagine sitting, reading, and sipping tea. Well done, here's to wishing you win, tami from the high street cottage
ReplyDeleteI have always loved your porch. What a great mom cave that isn't cave like at all! How nice to be able to sit outside yet still be inside. What a nice spot to have your breakfast in the mornings too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous porch...I haven't seen it before. It looks so comfy and yes, coastal. Love your wicker chair find, the fabric is great. And the little church basket. I like the curtains...they're keepers!! :-)

I am loving your mom cave! I have four sons, so I think I'm needing a mom cave myself!! I wanted to say hi and tell you that I've been enjoying your blog for quite some time. However, I just started blogging (yesterday!), so I could officially become a follower and not a blog stalker!! LOL!! I also enjoy the coastal style, and I have gotten a lot of inspiration from you in the past.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
