Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend...I know I did...I even got a little bit of thriftin' time in during this busy time. I went out early Saturday and was lucky to find a couple of great sales...one was a estate sale and the other was a sale that I think was being held by a owner of a salvage store that carries a lot of items from TARGET...got some awesome buys there. This weeks project is installing my NIFTY THRIFTY curtains in my screen porch...so be sure to check back later in the week to see what idea that I came up with...I think you will like it!Old soup tureen...found this at a estate sale for only .50 cents! Some of my ideas for it are...storing hand towels...displaying silver flatware or maybe plant some flowers in it. Do you have any ideas for my .50 find?Luv these cute "palm tree" invites...I bought two boxes for only $2.00 each...these retail for about $20-$25 at TARGET!Only .50 cents for each box...I went a little crazy buying lots of invites...looks like we will be doing some entertaining here at COASTAL CHARM!Such cute baby shower invites...also only .50 cents! I got more invites and note cards, but I didn't want to post 10 pics...thought you might think I was a little crazy:)Drapery Finial Set...$1.00!What a adorable "COASTAL" sign for my beach condo...think I will add some shells to it...$2.00!Another handbag to add to my collection...loaded this baby up yesterday and off to church I went with my $1.00 beauty!

Linda, you found some great stuff again. Love the soup tureen. I know what you can do with it. You can send it to me and I will put it in my hutch. lol. I have been collecting some white ironstone and other white pieces and silver to fill my hutch in the diningroom. You have all those invites so you better start planning some parties.
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing finds! I especially love the soup tureen (I would put some pale pink roses in it!), and handbag... wow! ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing deal on that pretty tureen! I frequently plant flowers in mine since I don't ever use them for soup. The drapery finial set was a really good deal too!

What? .50 cent for the tureen? That's crazy talk! I love the bag too. Great deals!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,

Like all your other goodies too.

ReplyDeleteGood tip on going to Canton early, I may try that in the fall.
ReplyDeleteYour white soup tureen is beautiful. I can see hand towels in it for the bathroom. One of these days, I want to link up, but I have not been able to get my act together. I love to treasure hunt at GW and also yard sales. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteWow Linda,
ReplyDeleteYou got some lovely finds...the soup tureen is lovely...great for a centerpiece filled with flowers or a green trailing ivy! Love the invites too!
Miss Bloomers
you hit the jackpot with those invites! i wish that salvage store was in my town.
ReplyDeleteShut up! .50 for the soup tureen? I love it. I agree, sand and candles (at least for summer) mini pumpkins & gourds for fall, and shiny Christmas ornaments in December.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I had to laugh when you showed the purse, glad I'm not the only one who gets their purses at garage sales! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI linked up my footboard sign to your NTT party, thanks for hosting!
Rose
Great finds! Love the tureen, I think it would look great with towels in it. The thrift store and garage sales are the only places I will buy purses. I can't see paying $20. for a new "cheap" purse, when I can get one second hand that looks new for $1.00 that was once $60.00 or more!! Thanks so much for hosting NTT.
ReplyDelete:) Michelle
Thank you for hosting. I have linked up to you on my Link Party Directory. Have a terrific day! Rory
