New Look For Only $2.00

It seems like I always want to change things up around here at COASTAL CHARM...I guess that could get very pricey, but here at COASTAL CHARM, it's not too bad at all. Since we sold our beach house two years ago and had to combine two households into one...then that left me with lots and lots of accessories. I have a room in our cottage where I store all my goodies...much cheaper than renting a storage building and very convenient! One of my accent tables in the family room had a black tablecloth and a red silk topper...I was pleased with the look, but looking for a change...so I went to my stash and found this Target zebra shower curtain and I knew I had just what I needed. I had found this shower curtain at a garage sale for only $2.00 (looks like new)...got into my fabric stash and came out with some burlap and so now, I had all I needed for my new look! I never thought about using a shower curtain for a tablecloth...but it works just fine because the table sits in a corner...have you ever done this?

  14. Nope, not a shower curtain for a tablecloth but tablecloths and sheets for curtains.

  18. Love it! I haven't used a shower curtain for a table cloth, but the shower curtain in my guest bathroom is a table cloth LOL. I knew what I wanted but couldn't find it - not a shower curtain nor fabric to make it myself. Happened to cut down an aisle with seasonal stuff (fall in this case) and there was the fabric I had in my head - only someone had already hemmed it and tucked it into a package labeled "tablecloth" Sold. At first I was going to sew button holes in it and then thought "self, what a waste of time! Just buy a package of clip curtain rings" Love the lamp! (I have 2 myself LOL only my shades are square-ish).

  19. I've totally done that.
Try using bathroom curtains to make pillows and a duvet cover as a tablecloth.

  20. So awesome! Did you even cut it into a circle and hem it or just drape it over?

  26. I have used every type of fabric item except thong panties for tablecloths -- curtains, shower curtains, shawls ... especially on round tables in corners! Love to tuck under those corners, and no one knows they exist.

It looks great, love your zebra/burlap combo. Nice!

  27. You are so creative! Yes, I've done this and more. I look at all fabric home goods as yardage and it's always cheaper than buying it by the yard. Love the zebra combo with the burlap.

  28. I am so glad someone else doesn't think it is odd to use shower curtains! They are just a wonderful large piece of fabric. And they seem to go clearanced pretty quickly. So, I always snag up pretty ones!

    Have a great weekend Linda!

  34. No I have never used a shower curtain as table cloth, but mine were never as cute as yours. Lovely little table vignette you have there. Love that black and white print.
