What's a gal to do when she is on a DIET and she has this beautiful cake stand? Put fake ARTICHOKES on it and just DREAM about all those yummy cakes that you wish was seating on it! My SWEET sis gave me this beautiful chocolate cake stand for my birthday back in Janurary and I started WW the following week...I just couldn't put it away...so this is what I decided to do with it! Go by and check out these FUN parties!
Linda what a great idea and it is lovely! Love the chocolate color of the cake plate and the artichokes look awesome on it. Great that you are doing WW!
Great idea! I have empty cake plates too! I love this cake plate. The color is fantastic, reminds me of chocolate cake. It's so yummy looking! LOL! Anyway, what I really love about this one is the wavy sides. It's very pretty!
The cake stand is gorgeous and the artichokes look real!! I have been putting fruit on my new cake stand but I heard that it's not good to mix fruit like that...something about the gases causing early spoilage...
How are you doing on WW? I have been toying with the idea and need a good kick in the butt!!
Good idea and such a pretty cake stand. I have mine sitting out with salt and pepper, butter dish and sometimes an olive oil bottle sitting by the stove. It has not seen a cake since I bought it at an antique shop last year. Sad.
Wow...I love that chocolate cake stand. So pretty!!! And the artichokes...brilliant for this dieting girl too:-) Thanks for the idea. By the way, your blog is amazing. I'll be back often...promise!!!
Oh! I forgot to mention- I lost 40 pound with WW 2 years ago- I have gained 8 pounds back- ugh! But(t) I am at the gym 3X a week to get rid of it! Keep going, girl! It is so worth being healthy!
Very cute, love the fake artichokes! I use two of my cake stands as decor as well, certainly does help with the temptation to cover them with baked goodies!
I love that cake stand. I've been looking for a miniature one just like that. I love the wavy edges. Great way to use it for display and I love artichokes!
Opps. I hit post before thanking you for joining us at Woo Hoo! Wednesday. Grab a glass of wine and snack (there's no calories in my refreshments) and enjoy!
My cake plates have been empty too! Great idea you gave me.

What a great idea, and it looks so lovely...Kathy
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I love artichokes! Where did you find yours? I looked at Michaels but the ones that they had were not near as cute as yours!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great - why not just call it a pedestal for now?
ReplyDeleteFun idea! I love artichokes.
ReplyDeleteI love your artichoke display in place of the cake that you would rather enjoy. Oh, the perils of dieting. Good luck with WW.
ReplyDeleteHope you got lots of rest at the beach.
ReplyDeleteI like the fake artichokes on the chocolate stand, however, real cupcakes would be better! LOL.
