My Little Yellow Shutter

This little yellow shutter has been with me for a few years now...bought it back in the days of when I had my antiques business in full swing...think I picked it up at Canton Trade Days in Texas. I really liked the size of her...she fits just perfect  here behind my kitchen TV...I use her there for a really good reason...she covers up all those ugly cable and power cords and I think she's really CUTE!!!! I just added the wire to her today...thought it might just add a little POP...we all need a little POP every now and then. As you see she holds invites...save-a-dates-baby announcements etc...so maybe you can get you a little yellow shutter for all your ugly cords...just a thought! Hope your weather is getting better for you, if you happen to be covered in all the snow that fell this week...the sun finally appeared here today after 5 loooong days...I can tell you...I was sooooo happy to see it come out.
Take care and I'll see ya soon,
                                                                              Linda

Here she is all filled up!
See that sweet little baby? That's our newest member
in our family and I'm going to meet him in two weeks,
can't wait to get my hands on this precious child!
Now here she is in her correct spot...no cords showing
                                                                                at all!

My sis and her grandchildren...I just can't wait to a have a few of my own!
Love anything chippy like this OLD SHUTTER...how about you?

Love your shutter. What a great idea!!! Looks like you are going to be busy with weddings this year, but what fun! I love anything old and chippy. And yellow is always such a happy color to me! I guess it reminds me of sunshine. Of which, we don't have yet. But we did dodge the snow/ice this time, thank goodness. I think the sun is supposed to come out tomorrow. YEA!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Love & blessings from NC!

What a cute idea, Linda! And practical, too! I usually use houseplants to hide everything with, they are nice and distracting by the living room TV.

Now that is an adorable baby!!

Jane

I almost bought a white shutter today at an antique store, and then I thought, why do I need that? This is why!

I love old shutters and if they are chippy then I love them more! Everytime I put one in my booth, it sells right away. The way you are using yours is very cute.

Yes, I love all things chippy, particularly shutters. Blake is a darling. Look at all that hair. Your time to be a Grandma will come, and you'll be a wonderful one.

What a great idea for hiding ugly cable and cord - the bane of my life. Notice in catalogues, show homes, and home magazines, you never see them. If only it were really like that.

Cheers,
Lisa x
