Now Please Don't Be Mad At Me

Because I'm spending the day at my beach condo...it's sunny and temps in the high 60's!!! Most people think that the best time to be at the beach is in July when the temps are in the high 90's...not this gal...I like it cooler than that...I guess it's a sign that I'm not a young chick anymore. What's your favorite time of the year to visit the beach?

Well enough about my wonderful day here at the beach. I would like to thank everyone who linked up this week to my NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAYS PARTY...it's been one heck of a PARTY...155 of you showed up so far...you still have time to join in...the door is open until midnight! I'm sorry that I haven't been able to get around to all of you...I had to finish power washing around here at the house and it about killed this old chick! One day maybe I will bite the bullet and give up on being a DIY person...until then...I will just keep on going and take plenty of ADVIL! Speaking of parties...don't forget that Kelli's party started today...it's RESTORE WEDNESDAYS...so all of you that have restored something...go by and join Kelli for her FIRST party and tell her that Linda@Coastal Charm invited you.
                                                       Hope y'all come back...real soon,
                                                                         Linda

  1. That is so lovely. I would have a hard time going inside except for more coffee so I could just soak up all that beauty. Glad your Nifty Thrifty party went so well.

  5. Fall and winter are the best times for the beach, in my book! Here in the PNW, we can have sunshine one day and beautiful raging storms the next (followed by really excellent beachcombing). And, unless there is a clam dig going on, you will pretty much have the beach to yourself!

  8. Beautiful photos! My favorite time at the beach is during cooler weather, too. My husband likes the fishing this time of year. The last 3 years we've snowbirded from the cold, arctic Saraland (just north of Mobile, lol) to a Orange Beach condo for the winter months. Then we moved & now we're just 15 minutes from the beach so no more condo renting.

  11. What pretty photos. Makes me want to go to the beach. We used to go to the Outer Banks the first week in October and I thought it was beautiful that time of the year. Not as busy, but still warm during the day. Oh, and the rental houses were so much cheaper.

  12. I love a beach 365 days a year! You would be nuts not to go every month.

  13. I'll take a fall beach trip to the middle of summer any day. It's not as crowded and obviously not nearly as hot!

I know it isn't funny, but I had to laugh about you power washing. I pulled weeds and cleaned up our out of control creeping jasmine from the many places it wasn't supposed to be yesterday. I woke up this morning feeling like it was the day after the first PE class! (I know=a lot of young folks will have no clue what PE is!!!)

  15. Oh Linda, this is gorgeous. The water is so pretty. I love the beach all the time and I agree it's great when the crowds go home and the weather cools.I never want to leave it. I had to laugh, I can see you struggling with a power washer till you were worn out. I am a DYI-er too. And I always have advil with me wherever I go!

  16. Hi Linda, I'm not mad at you, the temp here was 73 today, was wonderful even though I worked 'till late. However I am a bit envious you spent the day breathing in salty air, with the sweet smell of the ocean, sand between your toes, and most likely a shrimp poh-boy and a cold glass of vino in your hands? Sigh, I miss the ocean...tami
