It's that time of the week again. Party time. Time to show us your thrifty makeovers, crafts, diy projects, recipes and all your thrifty treasures. First let's look at a few links from last week. I must say, I am sorry that I only have three features to share with y'all this week, but since sooooo many people did not link back to my blog in their post, I had no choice. Primitive China Hutch

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I will be busy making some kitchen curtains for my daughter and getting ready for my new booth at Montrose Marketplace. Today, I thought i would share with y'all my primitive china hutch, that I just finished a DIY makeover on. This hutch  has been with me for about 10 years now and it was still the same color for all those years...hard to believe...but so true! I had always loved her shade of green, but with the new look here in my kitchen, that color just had to go. I got out my ASCP in old white and got to painting, so let's see how she looks now.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Worth Pinning

Mardi Gras is in full swing here on the Alabama gulf coast and you all know that here in the South, we always celebrate with FOOD!!! I promised you all in my last post, that I would share my jambalya recipe, so today, I will do just that. I also want to share another recipe too, it's Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread. This bread was so easy to make and everyone loved it, including me. Just let me say, this bread was all gone within a few minutes, so fast that I didn't even have a chance to get a pic of how it looked when it came out of the oven...sorry y'all!! If you are having fun on Pinterest, you just might want to pin this delicious bread...I've added it to one of my boards. Speaking of my Pinterest, you can follow me HERE, to keep up with all my favorites.
                                     Thanks for coming by,
                                                Linda

I found these at our local
                      Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.

Right before they went into the oven.

Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread
1 bag of frozen yeast rolls (I used Rhodes White Dinner Rolls/36 count...I only used 24)
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

In a small bowl, combine melted butter, parsley flakes, and minced garlic.Tear off small pieces of dough (roughly the size of the bowl of a medium spoon), coat in the butter mixture, and place in the bottom of a bundt pan. Repeat this process until you have one layer of dough balls. Sprinkle on 1/3 of the Parmesan cheese. Continue layering the dough balls and cheese until you have 3 layers. Preheat oven to 350. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until bread is golden brown. Serve hot with a side of marinara or tomato sauce. Yields 1 loaf.

                              NOTE...you can use shrimp instead
                                             of chicken.
Ooooh-yaaaa!!!!!
Jambalya
2 pounds link sausage
1 whole chicken
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
4 stalks celery, chopped
3 bay leaves
1 lb. can tomato sauce
1 can rotel tomatoes
 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. cajun seasoning
4-5 drops tobacco sauce
1- 1 lb. bag of rice
Boil chicken, debone, saving the broth. Cut up sausage and fry with chopped celery, bell pepper and onions. Add tomato sauce, rotel tomatoes and seasonings. Add chicken and approx. 3 cups chicken broth. Cook for 1/2 hour. Add uncooked rice and cook for another 1/2 hour (add additional broth if needed).
TIP: When storing leftovers, add extra broth to keep from drying out.

Easy Pumpkin Muffins

Want a really easy recipe for some yummy pumpkin muffins? Well, here it is! Just a box of Spice Cake Mix (I used Duncan Hines) and a small can (15 oz) of Solid Pack Pumpkin. Mix these two things together and DO NOT add water, eggs or oil or anything else! Scoop the very thick batter into 12 paper-lined muffin cups (I used a ice cream scoop and it worked great)! Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes...SUPER DUPER EASY!!!

                                            Enjoy,
                                            Linda

I have another pumpkin muffin that I
have shared with y'all before and it has
chocolate chips in them, think I will add
them to this recipe next time...chocolate
                        and pumpkin is sooooo good!!!

                               Right out of the oven!

Montrose Marketplace

Coastal Charm Interiors is expanding next month...my second location will be at Montrose Marketplace. The marketplace is a new business that is located in Fairhope, Alabama. It will be opened the last weekend (Fri./Sat./Sun.) of every month and for special events that are going on in the area. The first special event will be the 60th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival...March 16, 17 and 18. All you local gals, we would love to have you come by and shop with us, or maybe you might be interested in a spot at the Marketplace. Spaces are available inside and outside for this weekend, also for the month too. More businesses are needed to add to the list of us that have already come aboard. If you sell antiques, home decor, gift items, art or upscale craft items...this would be a great place for you. Here is the FACEBOOK page and WEBSITE...check them out for more info (and please tell them that Linda sent you by). Hope to see some of you at my new space, I'm very excited about this new adventure and I will be sure to post pics as soon as I get it all up and running.
                                        Blessings,
                                           Linda

Pickin' Coastal Style...Seaside, Florida

While going out pickin', is there a better place to go than the beach? I can only think of one better place and that would be a wonderful midwest farm. A pickin' trip in the midwest area is on my bucket list..oh I sure hope it comes soon, while I'm still just a wee bit young (ha ha). This trip was all about COASTAL CHARM, so Mr.CC and I headed over to Seaside for their community yard sale. This was our first time to attend this large sale and I can say, we will be coming back again. We got there fairly early and it really paid off at one spot, I loaded up with just about every vintage item that she had. This lady was giving me wonderful deals on her stuff and she had some really "cool" items...oh happy day! When Mr.CC found me there (after parking the car) and saw my pile of goodies, that look on his face was PRICELESS!! Honey...did you forget that we didn't bring the trailer? Oh sweetie, I know you can work some magic and get all of this in my (small) SUV. Just let me say, this man is one awesome packer when it comes to making all my junk treasures fit in my car...a real keeper! Today, I'm sharing some pics of the sale and the town of Seaside, come on back on Monday to my NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAY PARTY, where I will share with ya some of my goodies.
                                   Thanks for coming and I
hope to see ya at the party,
                                               Linda
                                            Paradise!

Throw on your coat...scarf and boots and
                                    get to shopping!
There was a little bit of everything there.
The local shops had merchandise at deep
                                       discounted prices.
These Airstream trailers add a touch
                                    of VINTAGE CHARM!
                                   Cute little cabinet...no...I
                                       didn't buy this one.
