Hello Summer!!! Memorial Day weekend has always been the official start of summer for me...what about you? The weather here this weekend has been perfect beach weather and I have spent some time soaking up the beauty with my daughters and today Mr.CC will join in on the fun. I hope all of y'all have been enjoying this holiday weekend with your families too. Now did anybody go out thriftin' or worked on a thrifty DIY project? If so, we are all ready to see what you have to share with us. Veggie Time

Oh my...it's finally here...IT'S VEGGIE TIME at Coastal Charm! My sweet hubby has planted one awesome veggie garden this year and we are already enjoying it. I could eat veggie plates several times a week and never get tired of them...how about you? Does anyone remember that I said in an earlier post that I was not a fan of squash? Well I told Mr.CC that I would try his homegrown squash and get this...I LOVE it! Tonight we had fried green tomatoes, corn on the cob, butter beans and squash...all we were missing was some good ole homegrown watermelon...they will be ready in a few weeks.

Just A Little Late

I always laugh when people don't put away their holiday decor in a timely matter and now I'm one of these people...yes I have joined their club. I just got around to putting away my Easter decor last week...thank goodness all of it was inside the house...do you have all your Easter decor put away? Come on...I know one of you must still have it out on display...so fess up and please tell me that I was not the last blogger to put their bunnies, baskets, eggs etc. away. Now since I have some new vignettes around here, I thought I would share one of them with you today. Her Wedding Flower

Haley's wedding is getting here soooo fast...on the 23rd we will only be two months away and believe me I need each and every one of those days to get it all ready. This girl has known for several years now that her wedding flower was going to be HYDRANGEAS...she will be using mostly blue ones, but there will be some green and white  ones in there too. I'm looking forward to sharing with all of y'all some of the ideas that we came up with...so be sure to check in with me after July 23 to see how they all turned out. I have a few bushes here at Coastal Charm that I enjoy every year and today I'm sharing some with you.

Maybe She's A Keeper After All

I've been playing around with my new Pottery Barn caddy today and I'm thinking maybe I should keep her...what do you think? If you were at my Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays Party this week, then you read how I went out and found me some "old" milk bottles for my caddy to only find out that they were too big...so what does a gal do? Well she gets her wheels turning in her head and comes up with some other ideas for it. With this being said...this is what I came up with and I really want to know if you like the look I have going on here...please be honest...I promise I can take it!

Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays No.63

Have you guys been as busy as I've been? It always seems like the month of May is a very busy month, no matter what year it is and this year it's no different. My daughter Mary Claire was home for the past 10 days and we had so much fun with her here. First thing we did was the three girls headed to Birmingham to see the DRESS...yes...Haley's wedding dress came in and it's BEAUTIFUL!!!! We will be going back in a few weeks to pick it up after a few alterations are completed. Spent a day at the beach...soaking up some sun on our beautiful gulf coast beaches..temps were just perfect. Mary Claire did some maid of honor jobs while she was here...just let me say...Haley is so lucky to have such an awesome MOH!!! We also spent a day doing a little thriftin'...this girl likes thriftin'...now that apple didn't fall very far at all! On Saturday we went to a college graduation party and we also went to a couples shower for Haley and Cam...like I said...May is a very busy month. Now enough about my busy week...let's all see what you all have to share with us.

Mr.CC...The Farmer

Now ladies not only does my hubby provide for his family by working very hard as a business man, he also grows the food that we eat...yes...I married to a FARMER!!! Well if any of you are thinking that Mr.CC is a big time farmer, let me clear that up, this is really only a hobby of his. Last year was the first time that he had a garden and he had sooooo much fun with it, that there was no doubt that he would have another one this year. Mr.CC's best friend (and our family doctor) lives in the country on about 40 acres and he shares his land with him. These two love the outdoors... they hunt, fish and farm together...two peas in a pod! Okay now let's take a look at what Mr.CC has growing for us this year.
